  This is the problem that people on this thread come up against when they interupt a love in among Christians(whatever they actually are?)

  You cover the board with endless threads supporting your faith but when asked for a sensible response, develop sloppy shoulders.

  No religion that needs a "law" for people to meet up and talk about it or have be in fellowship about it, is worth very much in my book.

  And what book would that be? Clearly not the Bible.

  I see that in this thread, the bible is used as a reliable and accurate reference book that can be quoted from to set matters straight. It tells us who said what, who appointed who, and how to be a Christian.

  On other threads, the same people that place such trust in the accuracy of the Bible, in this thread, portray it in a very different light. When versus are quoted that are inconvenient, the Bible suddenly becomes a metaphor; the ramblings of ancient men doing their best to explain their take on things. They were not inspired by God but inspired themselves. And so on...

  Incredulity is expressed that non christian can be so uniformed as to think that the Bible is the hand-book for Christians. God is in our hearts and Jesus is the Word. God's spirit is all we need and whatever the Bible says is unimportant. If a page offends you pluck it out.

  I could quote some of the most embarrassing disclaimers made but, it would be less embarrassing if you look back through your previous attempts to give Christianity legitimacy and cringe in private. Is it any wonder that so many people on this forum no longer have a clue what Christians believe or stand for?

  i don't understand... with all the people who are contra-watchtower - i mean all the books, all the websites, all the forums dedicated to "exposing" the watchtower "truth" - why has no one group actually just gone ahead and really exposed it?.

  all the proceeds from crisis of conscience or whatever other books (many on amazon.com) or whatever spare money and time people have to create these forums for people of varying degrees of craziness and experience could all go towards one simple solution: infiltrate the governing body "enclave" meeting room with bugged mics and a hidden camera.

  really, why hasn't anyone thought of that?

  my wife and i are finishing reading an excellent book titled " deep healing " by emmett e. miller, m. d. the essence of this book is showing how our mind and body works in synchronicity with our mental health affecting our physical well being.. he also addresses the issue of how " group mentality " or peer pressure can influence seemingly " normal " people to totally ignore reality and allow a " group " of people to coerce them into believing an untruth.

  this experiment was conducted in a college by psychology professors .

  I thought that Jesus instructed his followers to pray, 'Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.'

  Jesus said he was going his way to the father who had reserved a place for him in heaven. He said that he, himself was going to prepare a place for his disciples in heaven.

  Jesus may have felt love for his God in his heart but that is not where he stated God dwelt. Though I expect there is the odd, contradictory, mistranslated verse that allows Christians to cover all bases; to claim God is whatever, wherever, whenever they want to imagine he is.

  Such a shame that damned bible was written to complicate things!
